Collections: Our Designer Collection differs from our Builder Collection in that it features HTA jets that flow 45 gallons of water per minute, more unique designs and styles, higher horsepower motors, longer warranties, and often larger tub sizes.
Length: Bath lengths are typically 60 inches (5 feet), 66 inches (5.5 ft) or 72 inches (6 feet). The size you choose depends on your bathroom size. Master baths can usually fit a 6 foot tub, second baths typically 5.5 ft or smaller.
Width: Standard widths for baths are 32, 36 or 42 inches. A bath that is of equal length and width (e.g., 60" x60") but rounded at one end is still measured as if it were square.
Shape: Jacuzzi® baths come in a variety of shapes. The shape of the bath not only provides a nice design element to your bathroom but can also provide funtional benefits. For example, rectangle or hourglass shapes can offer more bathing space than oval-shaped tubs, and can potentially (depending on tub size) accommodate two bathers.
Installation Type: In the case of a drop-in (also referred to as deck-mounted) installation, the tub is "dropped into" a pocket in the floor. This mount will require extra space around the tub to build the deck.
In a niche installation (also referred to as recess-mounted) the tub is installed between two or three walls; the walls touch the top deck of the tub. This mount requires less room than a deck mount.
Skirted: Skirts provide access to the bath's plumbing for maintenance and repairs. They are a feature designed to save time and money during the intallation process because they do not require tiling. Skirts can be either integral or removeable.
Number of Jets: Jacuzzi provides whirlpool baths with a variety of jet types and numbers. Back (or lumbar) jets provide soothing massage to the lower back region. Foot jets are located at the base of the tub and provide invigorating massage to tired feet. Side (body) jets are located strategically around the bath to provide a more general all-over massage. Neck jets are an added benefit for sore necks, but will require slightly more water to operate as they are located near the top of the tub.
